This started off a couple of months ago when I was approached to shoot a small wedding with about 20-30 attendees. About a week before the wedding the list had grown to over 150 people attending, so this was now a huge wedding. I had assisted at other weddings and photographed a few small weddings in the past so I was not worried about accepting the assignment after all I have photographed many events in the past.

The day before the wedding I was asked to photograph the rehearsal dinner which I did. On the way from the reahearsal to the dinner it started pouring down raining and did not stop until the day after the wedding. The day of the wedding I arrived early to set up strobes and make alternative plans in case the wedding was moved inside. This was a late wedding so light would already be a problem for photographing.

The wedding was to be held outside in a court yard if at all possible. The decision was made about an hour before the wedding while it was still drizzling to hold it in the courtyard. Not only was this a large wedding now but it was becoming a challenging wedding to shoot due to lighting and water dripping off the roofs and constantly getting on the lens not to mention the condensation build up on the lens and it fogging up.

This turned out to be a very challenging event to cover but I made the changes required and got the photos needed. Check out the photos and let me know what you think.
